Customers stretch wrap their products to get their goods from point A to point B at the lowest effective cost with as little damage as possible. We can assess the customer’s current stretch film usage and ensure they are using the most cost effective practices.

Stretch film products evaluation criteria.

  1. pre-stretch = yield
  2. Loading force = containment
  3. Cut and weight = cost per load

Packaging standards and savings about stretch film products

Few clients have set standards on how to package their product, and even where a set of standards exists, few follow it. Despite the savings promised to customers on film costs, most do not get the savings they deserve.

Least cost effective transport about stretch film products

  1. thicker film = lower film costs
  2. higher loading capacity = increased productivity
  3. less revolution = lower labour costs

Methodology for achieving "lowest total cost of ownership".

  • Reduced Wrap – The purpose of modifying the wrap mode is to reduce the number of revolutions of the film without reducing the load. Another benefit of this technology is reduced packaging cycle time.
  • Downsizing – Successful implementation of this cost-reducing technology requires a very high-performance film. The film must provide optimum stretch, puncture resistance, adhesion and retention for down-pressing. With the right film, the down-press method can greatly reduce the use of film.
  • Upper test–The purpose of the upper test is to improve the utilization rate of the film by increasing the pre-stretch percentage of the stretch packaging machine. Upgrading prevents the film from tearing at the new pre-stretch setting.
  • Pre-Stretched Film – A pre-stretched film has been stretched close to its ultimate breaking point before being wound onto a roll. This means that the film does not require the same stretching energy as standard stretch film to achieve the same wrapping force. The consumption of pre-stretched film can be half that of traditional stretched film, which can save a lot of cost
