Influence of source on exposure time in plate making

In the packaging and printing industry, a variety of plate making knowledge is often used. In the exposure process of network version, the light curing reaction produced by emulsion is similar to the curing reaction of UV ink or other inks on printed matter.Influence of source on exposure time in plate making

Screen latex is sensitive to the wavelength of the mixed spectrum of UV light, blue and purple light. As the scraper repeatedly scrapes back on the screen during the printing process, the exposure emulsion must completely cover the mesh fiber after hardening.Influence of source on exposure time in plate making

Influence of source on exposure time in plate making

Specifically, there are two factors that affect exposure

1. Exposure source.

The spectral characteristics and intensity of the light source are the decisive factors affecting the exposure. Screen emulsion is sensitive to UV in the wavelength range of 365nm-420nm. To completely cure the emulsion, it needs a certain energy light source to produce a chemical reaction.

Generally speaking, the light emitted by incandescent lamps and floodlights with a wavelength of 365nm-420nm is limited, so they are not the best exposure source. Metal halogen lamps, mercury lamps and some fluorescent lamps have photochemical light sources, but the proportion of UV light and blue violet light emitted by them is different.Influence of source on exposure time in plate making.

Except in special cases, all screen emulsions can use the above three light sources as exposure light sources. Because the proportion of UV light and blue violet light emitted by them is slightly different, the exposure time is also slightly different, and the images on the final screen are also somewhat different.Influence of source on exposure time. in plate making
