Machine stretch film is mainly used for mechanical packing. When packing, the packaging machine first stretches the stretch wrap to a certain ratio and then winds the wrapping film on the goods to be packed.

Hand stretch film is specially made for packaging and is done manually. Usually just called “hand film”, this type of stretch film cannot be used on stretch wrapping machines. It is specially manufactured for use with stretch wrap dispensers. Manual stretch film can be used to wrap many different types of products and stacks of goods on pallets This type of film is a good choice if you pack less than 50 pallets per day.

Stretch film is a plastic film, usually made of linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), used for pallet wrapping, bundling and securing. The process of stretch wrapping products or product pallets helps reduce product damage and loss, improve product safety and reduce worker injuries.
The two most commonly used stretch films are cast stretch films and blown stretch films.
Cast stretch film – also known as cast stretch wrap, plastic wrap, or tray wrap, is made using a cast extrusion process in which the polymer is continuously pumped through straight slotted holes (die) and then after molding Immediately cool the sheet of hot plastic. Died by contact with cooled chill rolls. Film thickness depends on how fast the casting rolls pull the plastic away from the mold.
Blown stretch film, on the other hand, is manufactured by continuously pumping the polymer through a circular orifice (die) and then filling the tube with air. LLDPE stretch wrap film is used for pallet wrapping and/or any product used for finishing or protection against moisture and contamination. The integrity of the product is protected with LLDPE stretch wrap film. LLDPE stretch wrap films are available in manual and machine grades.

I tried many options and found this machine grade stretch film wrap for pallet wrapping to be the most effective because it can hold buckets of paint, metal rods, studs, reels and wires. Most industrial stretch wrap will hold lighter items well, but when it comes to anything over 10 pounds, there is a clear difference between the cheaper thinner wrapping pallets and the more expensive quality. Very happy with this, great product, highly recommend it to anyone!
I had never used stretch wrap to protect items for movement before. I ordered the stretch wrap used on this packaging machine to try it out. It worked great. However, I thought I ran out, so I bought another brand (which cost more, by the way). Man, I wouldn't have known this if I hadn't tried this stuff first. This stuff is great.
I like the thickness and durability of the stretch film roll used in stretch film machine, which has just the right amount of grip to hold tightly to the items wrapped inside. I use it to wrap delicate glass in bubble wrap instead of using tape to hold the bubbles in place. It works amazingly well and is much less expensive.
